And the title eventually converted into the Union National Bank of New Orleans (Charter #1796 in 1871, liquidated 1902) that issued Original Series notes. An eagle, shield, and commercial goods are at the top, slightly to the left over the title. At the far left, the Louisiana seal is at the bottom with denominations \"FIVE\" and \"5\" stacked above. Toga clad George Washington stands in a tall, ornate \"5\" at the far right. Noted as \"Slit Cancelled\" indicating fine razor cuts in the signature.
