PCGS Fine 15 Apparent.   Low denominations from this bank are frequently encountered; however, this high denomination $20 is rare. We have only seen a few in over three decades. A boldly vignetted note engraved by the American Bank Note Company. At top center is a wide scene of a long rescue boat being launched from shore to save a foundering ship. In the distance, lightning flashes from the clouds. At the lower left is a man carrying an axe in a shipyard, and at the lower right is a male portrait used for this bank. A red 20 protector is at bottom center. This late date note is pleasant enough considering some flaws. Noted are \"Tape Repairs on Back; Edge and Internal Splits and Tears.\" Ex: Eric P.
