Seymour, Kennard & Hay, Engr., New York. At bottom center, oxen struggle to pull Conestoga wagons over rough terrain, flanked by green protector lathe work rectangles over denomination text. The title is curved above the vignette. The ornate and deep green emblem back shows an outlined \"1\" at the center, with the title across at top, and PAYABLE IN U.S. CURRENCY along the bottom.
