Clintonville, MO - Vickers & Adcock \"presented to us at Clintonville or Montevallo\" $2.50 May 23, 1862. PCGS Fine 12 Apparent. This higher-denomination note from the issuer is also likely a unique Civil War-period note payable in \"Confederate Notes or Missouri State Bonds.\" A two-town tie note that also crossed county borders between Cedar and Vernon counties. Printed on thick, brown rag paper without imprint. The style is identical to the 50 cents previous. At each end are flourished borders to enclose the obligation and titles, city and date are at the top, and the upper left corner has a bolded \"$2.50\" counter. TWO DOLLARS & FIFTY CENTS is across over the obligation; the signature area is below. Noted with \"Splits; Tape Repairs on Back.\" The note is a bit rough, but very presentable with the repairs being on the back. We have not seen any other notes from the issuer besides the two Newman Collection notes cataloged here. This is an interesting odd denomination and multi-city note. Ex: Eric P.
