PCGS Very Fine 25.  The bank, with a great Civil War period patriotic title, also closed in 1865. Based on its rarity, most of the notes were redeemed. Bisecting the title, an allegorical figure representing Union, as titled on the pillar, is seen top center in fancy dress. The bank title is rather whimsically done, appearing to be on banners, and outlined in white. The Auditor's Seal is at lower left; sheep are seen at lower right. Note the high serial number \"40818\" machined in blue. There is much paper body and the note is bright. A beautiful Illinois issued note rarity. Ex: Eric P.
