NH-152. PCGS Extremely Fine 45PPQ.  A very choice, genuine example of the highest denomination note from this series. Tory Robert Fowle was arrested in 1775 on suspicion of counterfeiting notes from this issue. The 1779 due date for this denomination is still under study as to whether there are true counterfeits made or if there was a slip of type. Notes with the due date 20th December 1782, as seen here, are always genuine. A uniface, laid paper note with ornamental and typeface details similar to other notes of this size format. Signed by Hobart and Gilman. A beautiful note, well margined and fully original. Ideal for a Thirteen Colony set and difficult to find in this pleasing state of preservation. Ex: Eric P.
