L. Wilbur 50 Cents Mar. 15, 1862. PCGS Fine 15.  This interesting series has several protector variants and style. The office was located \"Under St. Charles Hotel.\" Printed on brown paper with an elaborate blue overprint with Childs' imprint tucked beside the \"W\" of the title. The N.O. Transfer Co. stagecoach (apparently managed by Wilbur), the denomination FIFTY CENTS across the center, and the imprint are in blue. The often-seen vignette of a train in an oval is obscured by the stagecoach and horses. Textual denominations are in cartouches at the ends. These two color protector notes are the first we have cataloged. Very striking. Ex: Eric P.
