Georgia 1776 Sterling Denominations 5 Shillings Crown Fr. GA-66b. PCGS Extremely Fine 40 Apparent. The larger format style shows the Sterling denomination printed on each end. A crown vignette (a motif that was objectionable and considered unpatriotic at the onset of war) appears at the lower right within a cartouche of type ornaments and the denomination. This design was replaced with the blue seal. Border variety (s). This larger format type has three signatures: Gibbons, Telfair, and Wade. High-grade examples of this type are next to impossible to obtain. Broadly margined on all sides. Grading notes only \"Minor Mounting Remnants on the Back,\" but otherwise this is splendid.
