He's dressed in dark pants, white shirt with a celluloid collar, dark vest and a tie, and his light hair is parted in the middle.  Most likely, this is in the 1900s.  In the background are bins of produce, and to the right is the front of the store.  The woman is holding out money or a list, and the grocer is holding a note pad/receipt pad.
