Proof. PCGS Genuine.   There is much paper disintegration across this India paper proof, but it is likely unique and was obtained from D. C. Wismer decades ago. Engraved and printed by Toppan, Carpenter, Casilear & Co., Philada. & New-York. Interestingly, the half-length portrait of the young lady on this proof shows Daniel D. Read's daughter. Read was the president of the City Bank of Beaver Dam in Wisconsin, and her bust portrait appears on that bank's notes. Missing at upper right is a surveying scene. Plate D. Genuine, not graded.
