PCGS Fine 15.  This is an exceptional and possibly unique Florida scrip note. It is the Benice plate note illustrated on page 125 and was credited to contributor Daniel Cassidy, who had a photo from Eric P. Newman when he wrote his Florida currency history. We have never seen another example, and even the great Freeman collection lacked this issuer. Stacks of lumber on every flatbed car on the train serve to promote the image of a busy and successful enterprise. The \"P\" of the curving title is ornate. An engraved signature and red stamped serial number 14 are on this small format note. The back is filled with dazzling green lathe work. The scrip was used by this large lumber outfit for payroll and noted in the obligation. This note will certainly elicit great attention as it is offered for the first time after decades of residing in the Newman Collection.
