PCGS Very Fine 30 Apparent.  Another very rare Arkansas scrip note issue and the only $1,000 note from the state. Printed on a rather brittle white paper. The light red undertint protector \"1000\" dominates the center under the complex obligation. The left end panel shows an interesting Native American princess in the center that mimics the U.S. $3 gold piece and Type III gold dollars. Due to the brittle paper, there are noted \"Tape Repaired Edge Splits and Tears,\" with some minor foxing seen on the face. The first we have handled, with the Rothert plate note sold from the Western Reserve Collection (part of lot 163 in the November, 1996 Spink America [Christie's] sale). Ex: Eric P.
