PCGS Very Good 10 Apparent.   The Zions Co-operative Mercantile Institution or \"ZCMI\" notes from Logan circulated in the territory in the same manner as the Salt Lake City notes. This is an extremely rare Logan Branch Zions Co-operative Mercantile Institution note from the first series date observed from Logan. Both Rust and Nyholm use only a photocopy of the same note from the Church Archives. Printed on white paper in all green inking by Salt Lake Herald Print. An ornamental border is all around and has ornate corners. At upper left is a quasi-coin vignette \"10\" counter that mimics the reverse of an Indian head cent. DUE THE BEARER is across the center, with curving TEN CENTS under. The obligation states, \"Payable only at the Logan Branch in Merchandise at Retail\" to be in compliance with federal law. There are two signatures at the bottom. The 1894 Logan Z.C.M.I. note in Newman Part VII realized $9,400, but it was certainly unique in private hands and in superior condition. This might be equally rare, but noted are \"Missing UL Corner; Splits and Tears; Tape Repairs on Back.\" Nearly all the note is still present, and that counts for much. Mormon collectors will recognize this great rarity, possibly unique in private hands. Ex: Eric P.
