Studied at Cleveland School of Art under Herman Matzen, graduated 1912. Studied at National Academy of Design, 1912. Studied and worked under Carl A. Heber, assisted Heber on sculptural decorations on the Manhattan Bridge, NY. Studied under Karl Bitter, 1914.
Opened studio with Joseph C. Motto, Motto and Rebeck, 1915-1917. Fought in WW1 with the 97th aero squadron. Opened studio with Max Kalish, Decorative Arts Studio, 1920, which seems to only have lasted one year. Owned and operated Art and Pattern Products, c. 1940s - 1970s.
Elected as member of the National Sculpture Society, 1923.
