This note is among the most handsomely engraved later notes from Philadelphia and features National Bank Note Company vignettes and color details to their fullest advantage. The serene port scene at the top center is the titled vignette In Harbor. The curving titles over the green guilloche are most attractive. The cashier signature is engraved on the plate. This is the third we have handled, including the finest seen. That PCGS Extremely Fine 40PPQ realized $3,055 in our September 2016 Long Beach sale.
