Thomson series of remainders (or lithographic \"specimens\"). Lithographed by Hatch & Co. N.Y. on white paper. In the same layout and style as other denominations known from the series (5, 10, 25, and 50 cents). At the left third are the issuer titles, location, and \"Dealer in Exchange, Coin, and in Current Money.\" In the right two-thirds, the New York State Arms (perhaps no Missouri Arms were on file at Hatch & Co.) at top center is flanked by two red \"25\" dies. The date is across and the denomination \"GOOD FOR/ TWENTY FIVE CENTS/ in Current Funds\" is under the vignette. The serial numeral and signature blocks are below. This is \"Hole Punch Cancelled,\" acting as a lithographic \"specimen.\" Noted with \"Minor Mounting Remnants on Back,\" but we do not see them.
