PCGS Very Good 8 Apparent.  A rare series of notes, and the first of two denominations of this issuer are reported in the Garland reference. The series was also payable at the Branch Bank of Tennessee in at Sparta, making all three series related by obligation and style. Printed on frail blue paper, but in a smaller format. At the center of the note are agricultural implements and grain, with the vignette matching the Clark and Sperry notes. The city and date are at upper left. An ornamental cartouche at upper right encloses a \"25\" counter. Noted are \"Splits; Pieces Missing; Backed.\" The first we have cataloged of this Sparta type. Ex: Eric P.
