MD-53. PCGS About New 53PPQ. This is another series of Maryland notes where high-grade examples are nearly impossible to locate. The back imprint is interesting, with the initials of \"A.C. and W. Green.\" Anne Catherine was the widow of Jonas Green, and this is one of the few female imprints known on American paper currency. The fractional denominations from the series are particularly rare in this state of preservation due to receiving tremendous use in commerce. Crisp and attractive, this example has only some handling and a solitary vertical fold. The note is sharply printed, well margined and shows a nearly full left end indent design. A choice fractional type note. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society\n\nRealized $822.50. Newman VII (Heritage Auctions, 10/2015), lot 18066.
