A second 50-cent note from this 1863 Cadett-payable series countersigned on the back by William Parkinson. Printed on pink red paper without imprint in a smaller format than the 1862 series. Ends have an intricate pattern, and thinner, simpler borders are at top and bottom. The denomination is across the top, with town and date underneath. Across is the bolded \"Fifty Cents.\" The obligation underneath states, \"...Or, redeemable in Specie in 1866, at Cadett, I. M. R. R., Mo. Serial no. 40. The side margins are very wide.
