PCGS Choice About New 55PPQ.  This is not a rare type and slightly more than 1,000,000 were printed. However, in this choice condition it is rare. The T37 $5 notes were printed by B. Duncan, Columbia, S.C. This second series note is well printed and shows just light handling. At center is a sailor seated by bales of cotton. A Memminger portrait is at the lower left, and the right end shows standing Justice and seated Ceres. Plate 3. Serial number 2372. This Newman pedigree note is fully framed except for diving in slightly at the upper right. The bottom right is very wide and shows a portion of the note below. This example is tied for the top population note at PCGS. No fully Uncirculated notes are graded by PCGS. We sold a PCGS Choice About New 55 T37 $5 in our January 2015 FUN sale for $1,762.50.
