PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent.  This is a very scarce bank, which was doomed when its railroad bonds were liquidated by the state in order to settle the note's accounts to only 16-1/4 cents per dollar. There are many more $5 notes known than $10 examples. This $10 is deceptively rare. It is one of only four listed on the 2006 census; the other three are closely held in private collections. The large oval Andrew Jackson portrait in the center, beneath the arced title, bisects the denomination. Numeral \"10\" counters on lathe work are in the upper corners. At the lower left, a Native American, one foot poised on a rock in the stream, prepares to launch his spear. On either side of the comparatively large \"X\" counter at the lower right are a milkmaid and a cow. Noted with \"Small Edge Split at Right; Minor Stains.\" This is a very rare type and might be the only example available for sale.
