The highest denomination from the bank and featuring a custom architectural vignette at the lower right. This is from the earlier style plate, and both $100 proofs in this sale were obtained in 1939 from Wismer. The imprint of Bald, Cousland & Co. New York & Philada. is at the bottom of this lovely proof. Plate A, and without the ABC monogram. A light orange tint covers most of the note, including the signature and serial number blocks; a darker tint outlines the \"100\" white protector at the bottom. Striding through the sky above a rural landscape with waterfall above and transportation scene below, Morning creates a dramatic impression. Lewis V. Bogy's oval portrait is flanked by \"C\" dies just right of center, a large \"100\" die is in the upper right corner, and the Exchange Bank building is below. \"Hole Punch Cancelled,\" as made, but with no detractions.
