M. 24-g.3, W-3070, R.6.  143.5 grains. Three varieties are identified for obverse 24, and two varieties are known for reverse g.3. The others are 24-g.5, 24-FF, and 17-g.3. As offered here, Miller 24-g.3 is rarer than any of the others. A few scattered planchet flaws are evident, with trivial handling marks. A nicely centered strike results in complete legends and a full date. The lower obverse and upper reverse are indistinct. We have seen other examples with a similar degree of weakness at different locations, suggesting a batch of tapered planchets. The Eric P.
