UG22. PCGS Very Fine 35. This is a desirable and very attractive Act of Feb. 20, 1865, $3 Union Military Bond. A beautifully designed type printed by the American Bank Note Co., Philada. In the center, a framed facing portrait of Liberty wearing the pileus bisects the detailed obligation text. The upper left shows a portrait of Benjamin Gratz Brown (Unionist, opponent of Missouri succession), and the bottom right corner displays the Missouri State Arms. The green security back has THREE across flanked by large \"3\" dies. Endorsed vertically and along the bottom edge. Plate B. No. 846. Like most of the Union Military Bond listings in Criswell, classified as \"Extremely Rare.\" A beautiful example that outshines the Shull-Criswell plate note. Ex: Eric P.
