Remainder. PCGS About New 50.  This is an intriguing private scrip note that merits some study from several platforms. It is not a Parish note, but a private note from Dupleix, using the Parish title in a prominent location. Printed on white bond paper by Natchitoches Union Print, the note might be a lithographers \"proof\" and probably was saved as a sample. It has full red color back with blue FIVE/DOLLARS at the center, this printed perpendicular to the face. Within the left end panel between FIVE DOLLARS, a young woman wearing a hat and sailor shirt is rowing and looking out at the viewer. Titles, Parish, and obligation are across the center. This is a beautiful note, and the condition is stupendous. We know of a $3 issued note from the issuer and date, but a different series, that sold in the Smythe Sale #100 for $418 with damage, This note has great character and rarity. Ex: Eric P.
