PCGS Very Fine 25. This is a very rare, fully issued Bank of Orleans type printed from the plates engraved by Chas. Toppan & Co. Enthroned Neptune is holding his trident, flanked by a canal boat scene left, and early train at the right. Identically styled ends with \"5\" counters in the corners and folded-in winged eagles looking across at each other. We know of some proofs of this style, including the Haxby plate note. However, this is a fully accomplished note with strong signatures. A well-framed and problem-free example. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society\n\nRealized $1527.50.
