PCGS Extremely Fine 40.  This is from a higher denomination series from the prolific issuer, engraved and printed by Danforth, Wright & Co. At one time this was an extremely rare note. Eric P. Newman loaned this note to Gerome Walton for research and illustration purposes, and it is the Walton plate note. Under the arced title at the top, a Native American sits and ponders a plow, sheaf of wheat and log cabin, again showing cultural contrast. TEN is perpendicular at the left end, with \"X\" above. Counters are in the right corners: \"10\" above and TEN over \"X\" below. A red TEN protector is at the bottom. Grading notes \"Hole Punch Cancelled,\" but this consists of a mere two holes in the left end panel. Though a small group of this type appeared two decades ago, they were absorbed readily. This note has a superior pedigree and the Walton plate note status. Ex: Eric P.
