NC-73a. PCGS Extremely Fine 40 Apparent.  This is an interesting series with many denominations and emblem varieties. There are three emblems used on the 1 shilling notes: the swan, as seen here, the bear and the North Carolina monogram. The note is a little ragged at the left indented printing, but this is a solid and bright note. The signatures are all well accomplished. Noted are \"Small Edge Tears.\" Another superior example compared to notes that appeared much later in the hoard. Ex: Eric P.
