Two men wear top hats, and the woman has a fur stole.  One of the men is blowing a party horn.  The styles remind me of the 1910s.  There are a man and woman in the foreground, which makes a total of six people in the image.  The man's on the far left, the woman almost in the center.  He's in a regular suit, with a coat over his right arm, and his left hand held out in front of him.  She's dressed more formally, with fur trim on the collar and cuffs of what appears to be an evening coat.  She's looking at the man, placing something in his left hand with her right.  Beneath the image, the caption reads; 'But it was the lovely flawlessness of the five larger stones that won Baird's admiration.  Pure white, they flashed in the electric lights.  So brilliantly did they gleam to the furtive eye of an extremely white-faced gentleman about to surrender his coat and hat to the attendant that he changed his mind'.
