MY - Financial Americana - Magnifying Glass to be used with Heath's Counterfeit Detector with Original Cylindrical Box. This is a fascinating and extremely rare artifact related to Federal and other currency counterfeit detection. We believe few were sold in their period of manufacture, and the survival rate for such items is low. The magnifier stands on three legs and is stored in a blue cylindrical cardboard box with a brown label at the top. The glass is 40mm overall diameter with the lens 27 mm. The box is 52 mm diameter by 48mm high with a circumference of 164 mm. Overall in Very Fine condition with a couple of missing edge chips from the printed top of the box and blue flakes off the side. There is dust/dirt between the lenses and minor handling. Heath's detector books are quite varied and interesting, but this is much rarer and the first we have cataloged.
