PCGS Very Fine 20.  There are a few series of notes from this county, and all are rare. This is a very rare small format Ellis County Warrant printed on brown paper without an imprint. A chain link border is all around and defines the end panels enclosing a trio of consecutive \"$2.50\" devices. Text is in the center with TWO DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS across. Obligations underneath show the note payable in \"Confederate Treasury Notes or State Warrants.\" Printed lightly. The Bill Bond collection note realized $547 in January 2007 with significant tape damage. This is another exceptional Newman Collection Texas county note, and perhaps the finest of its type.
