New Jersey June 22, 1756 6 Pounds Fr. NJ-100. PCGS Fine 12 Apparent. There are many series of New Jersey \"War\" issue bills printed, heavily used, and generally withdrawn and replaced by subsequent series of notes. Most of the 6-pound notes were printed in very limited quantities and it appears most were redeemed or replaced. The few remaining today are usually low grade. This is thought to be Rarity 7 (4-12) known). Printed in black and red on the face with a large Royal coat of arms at the left. The James Parker leaf back is printed in green on this issue (the first occurrence of non-black ink back use). The back is naturally oxidized and blurry. Only 625 were printed and the note is unpriced in Newman and Friedberg. Noted with \"Edge Splits; Minor Stains.\" This faces up fairly well and has the rarely encountered green back. Ex: Eric P.
