PCGS Very Good 10 Apparent.  A very rare New Mexico territorial period scrip note. The face and back obligations say they were not to be used as money. The notes were specifically GOOD ONLY FOR MERCHANDISE. Printed on yellow paper, without an imprint, in blue with a \"5\" counter in the center of face and back. Titles, denomination and obligation on the face are within fancy bordering. The back shows two large dies flanking the central cartouche. Noted with some \"Repaired Edge Tears,\" but with an attractive appearance. New Mexico scrip notes such as this are rarely encountered. Ex: Eric P.
