These Victorian-era brass coin weights were used for the large volume of silver and bronze coinage passing through Westminster Bank Limited in London. The largest weight was used to verify ?5 worth of silver coin. The three smaller weights were used to measure ?1, 50 pence, and 25 pence worth of bronze coins respectively. An approximately 5.1 x 4.7 x .75 inch wooden tray holds this impressive four-weight set. Ex: Eric P.
