The man on the right, cigarette in mouth, is leaning across to the older gentleman on the left, offering him a cigarette from his pack with his left hand.   The older, bespectacled, gentleman is holding his newspaper in his lap with his left hand, and is reaching across with his right hand to take the offered cigarette.
