The illustration is of a group of six young men (one's just a background hat) standing on some steps outside a building.  Other buildings are in the background.  One man is separate from the others.  All of them are wearing suits, and all are wearing hats - most appear to be boater/pork pie style, but one is wearing a wool cap and one (on the far right) is wearing a dark felt hat.  Three of the men are wearing round, Harold Lloyd-style glasses.  Most of the men are being aggressive, except the man on the far right, who looks apprehensive.  He's got his left hand up to his mouth, and papers are sticking out of his pocket.  The man to his right is waving his right hand in the air, and appears extremely angry.  They're all facing the left side of the page.
