Proof. PCGS Choice New 63 Apparent.  This second unlisted green tinted India paper proof is printed from the superb plates by the American Bank Note Company.  Haxby lists the branch payable notes as using a red tint. At left, History writes on parchment with a quill pen. A cherub holding a crown of laurel leaves sits at her feet. At lower right, two Native Americans view a waterfall. The green tinting is similar to the $1, with the wide left end panel containing the oddly shaped vignette cartouche, framed all around by small \"2\" dies. The imprint is at the bottom. Noted as \"Hole Punch Cancelled\" as made and with \"Internal Tears; Mounting Remnants on Back; Paper Toned\" by grading. Well margined, with the toning across the center; but the deep tint amplifies the overall beauty of the note. A superb color proof and great rarity. Ex: Eric P.
