A pair or India paper proofs die sunk onto cards of vignettes used on the Union Bank of Missouri July 1, 1861, unregistered series. Breaking Hemp American Bank Note Co. 144 with a man operating machine and used on the $1 branch types (Haxby MO-65 G98a) and also used on $3 Bank of the State of Missouri unregistered note type. The second is an untitled waterfall scene with Native Americans gazing up. Used on the $2 note branch types from the series (MO-65 G100a). Both of these were once paired with the red tinted proofs in this sale and likely came from Julian Blanchard's collection at one time. Excellent condition. Extremely Fine. Ex: Eric P.
