PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent.  This exceedingly rare bank was all SENC in Haxby. There are a few notes known now, but none of this late New England Bank Note Co. imprint series with custom city view. Greenfield is a small city located on the scenic Mohawk Trail. The vignette at top left shows a peaceful scene of a train passing through the town. Smoke stacks from a mill at the left billow with smoke. However, just right of center, the fur-clad Native American bracing himself within the large \"2\" seems to have just shot an arrow from the bow he holds. At lower right, rather incongruously, a young woman holds upon her head a basket brimming with fruit. A red protector TWO is at the bottom. Noted with a \"Small Internal Cut at Right,\" but bold and impressive. There are many important Massachusetts notes from the Newman Collection, and this is certainly at or near the top rung.
