Wisconsin's lumber industry is the focus of the vibrant central vignette. A highly-detailed and energetic logging scene shows a lumberjack with axe poised at the height of his swing while another logger sits on a stump smoking his pipe. In the background are other workers, a boy leading horses, and logs being floated down river. The contrasting vignette at lower left shows a tranquil depiction of a young woman tending to farm animals. The series was missing from the Krause Collection and this is likely the only example in private hands. Noted as \"Hole Punch Cancelled\" as made.
