PCGS Very Fine 20 Apparent.  A very unusual note which poses a bit of mystery. It is clearly a false note from the period, with a crooked title and crude city block at the upper left indicating it is an altered bill. However, it is not from an altered source that we readily can identify. The style is Pennsylvanian, with seated Commerce at top and identical Athena vignettes at each end, all engraved by Underwood, Bald, Spencer & Hufty. Noted flaws include \"Severed and Repaired at Right; Small Repaired Tear at Left; Pinholes.\" A fascinating note and worth further study. Ex: Eric P.
