PCGS Very Fine 20.  This is a Washington title that is not often encountered. The title certainly was meant to evoke an official status, but it is considered fraudulent by modern note researchers. At left, beneath the curving title, an eagle with wings up, gripping the symbols of war and peace, stands upon the Stars and Stripes shield. In the distance are clipper ships and a sidewheel steamer. A male portrait in an oval is at the right. At lower left is a Roman numeral counter. At the right end, a numeric counter is above and textual counter below the District registration seal. A sidewheel steamer is at the base. Though light, a red TWO protector is present. The signatures match those on the Haxby plate note examples from the series. Problem free and a handsome rarity.
