Final volume with spectacular engraved color advertisements for anti-photographic bank notes in the form of such notes by Rawdon, Wright, Hatch & Edson and by Toppan, Carpenter & Co. Five volumes bound in 10 in matching later green cloth, gilt; one volume bound as a whole in contemporary half leather; one removed from a previous binding. An important source of information on American paper money of the period, primarily from a banker's perspective. Coins and counterfeiting are also recurring topics.
