S. Wood-Watuga Cash Store, Watuga, Illinois Uncut Remainder Sheet of Nine Scrip Notes.  A large format, nine-subject, 1860s scrip note sheet with an unusual denomination array. Vertically at the right side are 5 cents (3) and 25 cents (2). To their left, perpendicular and facing outward are 10 cents (3) and 50 cents. The notes were authorized by Wood, but also payable in Galesburg, Illinois. Lithographed by Ed Mendel, 162 Lake St., Chicago. Vignettes were adapted from 1850s Obsolete notes. With some handling, but choice for a big sheet. There are not many survivors of larger-format sheets like this due to cutting or mishandling. AU. Ex: Eric P.
