Like notes from the series, signed by Auguste Chouteau, the founder of St. Louis. Beautifully styled by Murray, Draper, Fairman & Co. The common top central vignette shows a bust of Jefferson on a pedestal and a capped liberty pole behind. The name \"Jefferson\" is arced above. Barrels, crates, sacks, bales, and beehives are at the shore. Four ships are at sail in the background. At the horizon are mountain peaks, with the radiant sun rising. Numeric counters are at each side. Intricate end panels show cartouches. The perpendicular denomination is at the left, and MISSOURI at the right. There are only some \"Mounting Remnants on Back\" noted. The note is well margined for the series and fairly bright. Ex: Eric P.
