The bridge was built by the St. Louis and Illinois Bridge Company, which contracted the Keystone Bridge Company (later absorbed into the American Bridge Company). Operations  were assumed by the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis in 1889. This collection consists of original drawings of Eads Bridge from two separate firms, American Bridge Company and Terminal Railroad Association, which have been brought together in order to facilitate their use and are arranged numerically by the Terminal Railroad number. <br><br>This physical item was donated by the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis.
