Confederate States of America - T33 1861 $5 PF-7, Cr. 254. PCGS Extremely Fine 40 Apparent. The September 2, 1861, T33 $5 engraved notes were another workhorse in circulation, and high-grade examples are difficult to find. Two imprints and many varieties are observed on these. Printed by Keatinge & Ball, Va. on plain paper, this note has a blue-green tint plate. At center is an oval portrait of C. G. Memminger within the portions of the title on three sides. At the right end is standing Minerva. In green are the frame around the perimeter, wide left end panel with FIVE DOLLARS perpendicular to the face, and two green dies with outlined \"5\" at the top. Plate I. Serial number 28384. Early plate state with full \"VA.\" Sharp color and excellent paper body. Noted with \"Minor Stains; Paper Toned.\" Another pleasing type note. Ex: Eric P.
