The imprint is American Bank Note Company, though the vignettes used are from the earlier Toppan, Carpenter, Casilear & Co. catalog. The attractive layout features a youngster holding the reins of a horse next to harvesters at the lower right. At the far left is Union with a standing female adjacent to the titled column. A small female portrait is at the left of the arced two-line title. Solid, bright and well margined. The vast majority of these issued branch bills were redeemed, thus this a great rarity.
