The City of Leavenworth series is quite scarce and, thus, popular. At the left is seated Liberty on a throne. At the upper right is a small vignette of the Kansas Arms with their Latin motto \"Ad Astera Per Aspera.\" Intricate counters and borders are around. The green security back has an unusual layout, with the title curved through the center bisecting pairs of shield-shaped dies.
