Proof. PCGS Choice New 63 Apparent.  As noted above, we have not previously encountered the $100 proof denomination from this American Bank Note Co. series; it is possibly unique. This gorgeous layout shows a curving title across the top; the portrait (centered on the $50 note) has moved over to the right side. Counters are in three corners; at the lower left, seated Hope on the shore peers across the stormy sea. Despite some imperfections, the eye appeal is simply riveting. Hole Punch Cancelled through the India paper only to the new card backing. The upper right paper corner tip is clipped off and so noted, though it touches just the briefest portion of the black frame lines.
